Averie - Our New Bundle of Joy

Well, it's been almost three months since both Storm and Nycademus crosssed the rainbow bridge.

Well, yesterday (Christmas Eve) Harley and I welcome out little Averie to our family.  She is an agouti, Siberian Husky!!  She is outstanding!!  Although I'm not sure Harley agrees with me.  LOL  The positive thing is that Averie wants to play with Harley.  I think they will be good friends soon.

We'll be starting training with the dog trainer very soon.  I'm working with her on the cue "sit" right now.

I'd like to wish everyone a great Holiday Season!

Whole Life Challenge

Well, my Crossfit gym is conducting a whole life challenge for the next 8 weeks.  So, I have decided to participate in said challenge.  Here is the info on it if you’d like to check it out: http://www.crossfitimpavidus.com/events-community/nutrition-blog/ - I went to the prelims today where we weighed in, body fat percentages, before pics, and a seminar to tell us what is allowed and what’s not.  I found a great recipe for breakfast that I will be trying and when I do I’ll post about it here.  So, let the fun begin!!!

Death by Tabata and Intervals

Well, I went to my second crossfit class today.  The hardest part is getting out of bed to go!!  Once I’m there I’m good to go.  Well, in theory anyway.  I wasn’t thinking that after the 10m laps!!  The first lap over a minute is no big deal, but, then you keep adding 10m.   I got 12 rounds in and I feel good about that.  I felt if I made it past 10 I was a rock star for the day!  J  I probably won’t be able to walk in a few hours, but hey….no pain no gain!!  Well, that’s what they say.  I don’t know who came up with that load of crap!!  Hahaha  I’m actually feeling good though, so, I’ll take it.
Here’s the workout I did today:

Warmup
800m run
10 OH Squats
10 Good Mornings
10 Dead Lifts
10 Push Press

Skill
Kettle Bell Snatch

Work Out Of The Day (WOD)
Death by 10m – I did 12 rounds
Kettle Bell Snatch (Tabata Style) – 4 minutes
